Job Description:

This position involves supporting human factors research projects to quantify and assess human performance data. Requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and accomplish assignments with minimal supervision. Requires ability to monitor project timelines, gather information and understand project needs/requirements, and translate requirements to team members. Ability to prepare reports and provide regular, organized project updates. Requires the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to work independently with minimal oversight. Requires the ability to follow detailed instructions to support the development of specialized measurement instruments/surveys, databases, spreadsheets, and reports required for various research projects. Requires expertise in Microsoft Windows applications to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Requires ability to transcribe audio text, perform data entry, use formulas and filters in Excel, and format documents in Word. Knowledge of statistical procedures used in the social sciences is desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Organize tasks and monitor team member activities
      • Provide project oversight and ensure timelines are met
      • Communicate goals and expectations
      • Type, transcribe, enter data, format documents, generate reports
      • Build and maintain spreadsheets and databases and verify data accuracy
      • Generate and format reports
      • Support data collection efforts

Supervisory/Management Authority:

This position does not have mgmt. authority or supervisory capacity.

Education and/or Experience:

High school degree plus 8 yrs plus directly relatable, high level administrative support or project management OR Bachelors in business administration or related domain plus 6 yrs directly relatable administrative support or project management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Required: strong organization skills, oral and written communication skills, computer software (Microsoft Office) skills, typing and data entry.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily performed a controlled office environment.
