SUMMARY

The primary objective of this procurement is to obtain support services of one (1) Administrative Assistant for the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) for a period of one year plus four option years, subject to the availability of funds. Contractor will perform onsite at TATRC, located on Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. The Government will furnish all property and computer equipment necessary for onsite work.

The Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), a subordinate element of the United States Army Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), is charged with managing core Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) and congressionally mandated projects in telemedicine and advanced medical technologies. To support its research and development efforts, TATRC maintains a productive mix of partnerships with federal, academic, and commercial organizations. TATRC also provides short duration, technical support (as directed) to federal and defense agencies; develops, evaluates, and demonstrates new technologies and concepts; and conducts market surveillance with a focus on leveraging emerging technologies in healthcare and healthcare support.

The mission of the TATRC is to exercise fiduciary responsibility and quality assurance for all assigned Medical Research and Development (R&D) funds, and to conduct research in the areas of computational biology, medical modeling and simulation, healthcare information technologies, and operational telemedicine. In addition, TATRC is responsible for the following core research areas and one main program:

• Medical Modeling, Simulation, Informatics & Visualization Systems (MMSIV)

• Mobile Health Innovation Center (MHIC)

• Biotechnology High Performance Computing Software Applications Institute (BHSAI)

• Operational Telemedicine

• Army Medical Department Advanced Medical Technology Initiative (AAMTI Program)

The TATRC requires support to assist with the development, organization, dissemination and information management of various materials for the TATRC lab, to include multi-media, print, social media, web design & maintenance, graphics, animation and video support, as well as meeting & event support. This includes gathering the documentation for TATRC staff members to travel to various events and National Conferences and submitting the packet for approval. In order to accomplish the requirements set forth by the TATRC Lab, there is a need for management support and creative services support to fulfill these tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative support specifically dedicated to the requirements of the project team. Perform a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including:  Note taking, typing, and filing, meeting minutes and transcribing them, word processing, and composition of correspondence, inventorying supplies and reordering when necessary, assist with travel coordination. Commensurate experience and education. Summarize and document results of facilitated group sessions.

a. Meeting pre-planning, facilitating the meeting, and development of any reports or documents generated as a result of facilitated meeting. Facilitator must provide facilitation tools and supplies. This includes note pads, sticky walls, technology of participation tools, and other supplies as needed to support facilitated exercises. AV equipment will be provided as required;

b. Develop agenda and other pre-meeting materials as required;

c. Recording, note taking and reporting for meeting as required. Contractor will provide recording devices, voting/evaluation software and materials as required and;

d. Produce Meeting Notes/Minutes and meeting reports as required.

e. Assist in development of content for a quarterly newsletter distributed for the TATRC Lab to include specific research projects and events. Develop draft Quarterly Newsletter

f. Develop and maintain a contact mailing list of recipients and send out announcements and the quarterly newsletter;

g. Assist in providing content for TATRC’s Social Media Platforms;

h. Collect appropriate graphic materials and obtain releases to use them in published document.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

This position will not have supervisory authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • AA Degree in Public Affairs, Government, Science, Business, IT or comparable years of experience
