We are seeking a qualified Communications Specialist to work alongside government project managers and staff at a government client site. The Communications Specialist is responsible for overseeing all internal communication aspects, tasks, websites, and communication tools for the CBP Mission Support Facilities Program Management Office. This support includes the development, maintenance, and administration of the internal SharePoint site to efficiently communicate mission programs, project updates, and financial reporting.



  • Maintain the SharePoint sites for the CBP Mission Support Facilities (MSF) Program Management Office, which includes posting, updating and maintaining the sites and their permissions.
  • Resolve any SharePoint issues and troubleshoot any on-going problems with the sites.
  • Develop all necessary InfoPath forms to support SharePoint Interface.
  • Troubleshoot and serve as an SME for existing InfoPath forms.
  • Obtain specifications and quotes for any required special software to support the MSF PMO mission.
  • Write, review and edit any agency wide communication.
  • Manage, as required, the Daily Deliverables and taskers which includes notifying the responsible parties of the request and coordinating/submitting responses.
  • Administer WebTELE (directory) information for MSF PMO.
  • Manage the update process for MSF PMO Position Descriptions.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for compiling and submitting monthly PowerPoint slide updates for routine senior leadership meetings.
  • Support the data management and use of the TRIRIGA Real Property Information Management System.



This position has no supervisory or management authority.



  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting federal agencies
  • Excellent communicate skills both oral and written
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment


  • Must have or be able to obtain Department of Homeland Security / Customs Border Patrol Public Trust clearance prior to start
